Watches of the future
What really made me write about watches is a new advertisement around our city about the new "swatch touch", a modern design with touch enabled! It looks like this.
Recently I came across a couple of new concepts, and by recently I mean a year, and in each and every concept they show you how much imagination is invested in this sector targeting geeks, non geeks and kids.
In this post I will come across watch concepts and designers as will, as their is designers that only introduces modern and revolutionary watch concepts, for example our first:
What they do is out of this world and makes you think twice before trying to tell the time, designer and revolutionary watch manufacturer which was first mentioned in 2004 (which I think the company was established) they "design wearable art" as they describe themselves, which is legit. Some of the watches will require a tutorial before telling time but on the other hand, and I mean the hand with the watch, it's a watch that for sure will draw attention and give people a whole new idea about you Mr. Tokyoflash.
Many took the road of designing a watch case for the new fully design and capable ipod nano touch introduced in the 2010 as a Pandora's box to whom it may concern, but for the luck of all MINIMAL design studios founded by Scott Wilson found the key by introducing TikTok and LunaTik which became the most funded project on kickstarter ever, and the top in the hall of fame of successful projects with almost 1'000'000 (1 million) dollars at the end of 2010.
Since it was first mentioned on engadget, Ziiiro became a brand with a goal! The concepts they are proposing resembles minimalism in which the clock face has no hands or markings, just a constantly changing pattern that indicates the passing of time.
That will give you an idea how the concept and designs are going at our times, which might give you a glimpse about the future, for me I spent a whole day checking TokyoFlash designs and they are for sure very very very interesting and out of this world!
